National Sheep Association (NSA Scotland) and all its farmer-members want everyone to share in the iconic landscapes and beautiful countryside that sheep farming in the UK has played an integral role is creating and maintaining.Farmers appreciate lots of people like their dog to enjoy the countryside with them, but as much of the UK’s rural landscape is maintained by grazing sheep there is always a strong chance you will encounter some while out with your dog.Each year, NSA runs a campaign to raise awareness of the issue of sheep worrying by dogs. In 2026, the campaign will run from 30th March - 6th April.This advice will help you and your pet have fun and safe days out without disrupting the important work of sheep farmers.
